Ok...we're a little behind...

Friday, not last but the one before, Carter and I got up and went to Kindermusik....we were almost late because Carter had a two hour nap. He just loves Kindermusik...I might look into putting him in the next session since he loves it so much...they have summer camps! After Kindermusik, Gramma and Auntie Sue came for a visit. Carter had fun playing with them both. Auntie Sue brought Carter a few books...he had a good time reading and playing with them after they left. Friday night, I got my scrapbook stuff ready for my day of scrapbooking. It would be my first day away from Carter for the day.

Saturday morning, I had an early start. The scrapbooking started at 9 and Carter and Daddy were going to be spending the day together. Carter was a really good boy for Daddy. After my scrapbooking, we decided to drive to Amherst to visit Ryan's grandparents and his parents who were there for the weekend. It was a surprise for them! We arrived shortly after 7 and they were really surprised to see us. Carter had a good time playing with Grammy and Poppy, Great Gram and Great Pop! Carter got some really neat little blocks and a cool little red wagon to put them in. He has been playing with them lots! He also got two trucks which he has figured out how to push across the floor. Saturday evening Carter started crawling forward two, three, four moves forward...by Sunday morning he had it figured out...Look out we're mobile!!!

Thursday last week I decided to take Carter over to the pool. He had not been yet so I really did not know what to expect. I blew up his little boat...when I got a phone call...It was mom...She came for a visit which was perfect! It gave me an extra hand and Gramma got to see Carter taking his first swim in the big pool....he did not like it. I thought he would where he likes to kick and splash in his pool....but he hated it. He cried for a bit...I don't know if it was the temperature of the water, the depth of the pool, the noise from the other kids, or just a combination of things. He did start to warm up to it a bit near the end, but I think it was just him being noisey at the other kids...lol

After mom left, Uncle Chad came for a visit. He played with Carter for a bit. Carter enjoyed that! Thursday evening we stayed around home.

Wednesday last week was pretty quiet. Since it was rainy out, we decided to stay around the house. Carter got to enjoy his first cookie. At first he was not really too sure what to do with it.

Monday was very beautiful outside. The sun was out and Carter did not want to be inside. I took Carter out with me to let Peanut out for a pee...when we came inside he started crying because he did not want to come in. So....I pulled the exercauser outside. Carter was very happy to be outside with Peanut. We were outside for quite some time. Jan came over and we decided to go for a walk. She got the twins ready and I got Carter ready and we went for a long walk. It's nice to get out and enjoy the nice weather.

Tuesday morning we were up in time for Yoga. There was only one other mom there with her little boy. Liam, the little boy, was one year old....and very mobile. He played with a few of Carter's toys that I took with us. Carter played with Liams little truck...he loved it...now I will have to keep my eye out for it when we get to Toys R Us or Walmart. After Yoga, we dropped off our receipt to get our refund from the kids sale we went to the other week...we got overcharged...

Tuesday afternoon was playgroup...and there were a lot of babies there this week...there were about 10 of us. Mostly girls this week. It is nice to get out with the other moms and neat to see Carter with the other babies....he enjoyed himself. . .he likes playing with all the new toys... We sat with Peyton and Shelly....Peyton is in Carter's Kindermusik class on Friday and only lives around the corner and we met Shelly the few other times we have gone to playgroup...

Tuesday night we had a boo boo....Carter bumped his head so we took him in to the doctor to get checked out...he was fine, but I think it hurt Daddy more than Carter.

Oh...and I almost forgot....Carter's vocabulary development...we are now getting a few "da, da, da's".

Carter is also having fun playing with Peanut...he will grab ahold of one of Peanut's toys...put it in front of Peanut and giggle....too cute!

Carter and Peanut waiting to go for their walk!

Carter, Mommy, Daddy and Peanut on our walk!!!

Mommy, Peanut and Carter in the woods!

Daddy, Peanut and Carter in the woods!

Carter playing with Daddy!

Carter looking at Daddy being silly!

Thursday we went for a walk with Jan and the twins...other than that, we did not do a whole lot.

Friday was Carter's first Kindermusik class....he loved it. It was really interactive with the kids. It lasted for about an hour. There were twelve babies in total. Carter found himself another girl. He first sat beside a cute little girl with really long dark hair and bright blue eyes, Molly! Carter was eyeing her up...so we thought until he reached out and grabbed a hold of her hair. She fussed a little and then she reached out and grabbed his hand. They are really close in age. She was born on the 14th. Friday afternoon, we came home with Peanut and then we had a check up at the doctors for 4. She said she thinks Carter is fine now and just going to be cutting a few more teeth. She said babies normally pick at their ears when they are teething. So...that was good news!

Saturday morning we got up and went out for a coffee. We took a little drive. Carter had a nap in the car. We didn't do anything too much. We decided to rest for the day.

Sunday morning we got up and since it was nice out we decided to go for a walk. We took Peanut over to Shubie....he was real excited to get out of the house. He tugged and pulled a lot....excited to see other dogs and pee on every tree around. We were gone for atleast an hour and a half. We came home and spent the afternoon outside. Ryan worked on the yard. He wanted to dig around the stairs and add some fancy little rocks. (an area for Peanut to pee in!) We went out to Kents garden centre to pick up some garden stuff...It's nice to see the garden weather coming. On our way back home, I managed to convience Ryan to go to an open house....It was a gorgeous house and we both liked the layout...it's just not in our price range nor did it have a big yard. Ryan and I have both agreed whenever we move from here we definately want a place with a nice yard. We need to have a spot where there is room for Ryan to play ball with Carter when he gets older and room for a nice swing set.

When we got home, Chad, Terri and Hannah were here. We went for a walk over to the park to see the ducks. They stayed for supper and we ate some bbq hotdogs. Carter got to see his buddies Georgia and Matthew out in the backyard. It is amazing how alert they are now. Matthew is sitting up really good and holding his head already. Georgia is starting to catch up. They are both smiling lots!

OK...it's official...the first word is Mom....all day today I have been hearing "mom, mom mom". Carter was using it this morning to get my attention...I'm sure he has no clue what it really means yet but I am sure it won't take long to put it together.

He is getting more mobile each day. This morning he backed himself up the whole length of our bedroom. One minute he was beside the bed and the next minute he was over by the door going. We definately need to get up the other baby gate for the top of the stairs.

Yesterday Carter and I went out for a little bit. We ran over to MicMac to pick up the portable high chair I had on raincheck. Ryan and I wanted it for when we go to Grammy and Poppy MacDonald's place on the weekend. Carter also got a set of keys, some link a doos, and a swim tube for when we go to the pool....which should be within the next two weeks...we may wait until Gramma and Grampy Clothier come in to their hotel.

Today Carter and I went to Price Club and we took Jan with us. We picked up some pork chops, chicken cord en bleu, protein bars, and a chocolate treat for daddy! We also picked up two pair of pants for me....but they were huge so I have to take them back. We ran into Katie, David and Dylan in Price Club. They were to Halifax to do some shopping. This was the first time I ran into them since....two Christmas' ago...I think....

After shopping, it was beautiful outside...we decided to go for a walk. Carter and I got Peanut ready and Jan got the twins and Maggie ready. It was so nice out. I didn't even wear a jacket....
We walked as far as the track field...did a whirl around the field and then came back home. Peanut enjoyed being out for a walk with Maggie.

We ate Chicken for supper...now feeling stuffed....phew!!!

Gramma and Grampy came for a visit on Thursday afternoon. Gramma looked after Carter while Mommy took Peanut to get his nails clipped. He was a really good boy for Gramma. He had his first popsicle with Gramma. It was a real fruit one. Carter enjoyed playing with Gramma and Grampy. They spent the night with us. Friday morning Carter played some more with Gramma and Grampy before they left to go to the land.

On Friday, Uncle Chad surprised us in the afternoon. Uncle Chad brought Carter a lifejacket for the pool...it fit perfectly. They were really cute with bright blue shorts attached. Uncle Chad stayed with us for the night. He was working on tinting his windows on the Escape.

Saturday morning, Daddy took his car to get the tires put on. We decided to take a little drive while we drank our Tim Hortons coffee. We came across a yard sale that had a jogging stroller... when the lady said $30 bucks...I said sold!!! It is in really good shape...I washed the fabric and Ryan took the pressure washer to the frame...it's just like new. The rest of the
day, we hung around the house. Ryan worked on the yard for a bit.

Sunday morning we decided to go for another drive...no yard sales were out... In the afternoon, Ryan worked on washing his car and the yard. Carter experienced his second popsicle. Then we went to Hanratty's for a BBQ. Yummy!!!

As you can see, Carter loves popsicles!!!
