Cruising in the PT Cruiser with Great Poppy!

Carter was eyeing up the steering wheel and was all excited when he got behind the wheel.

Wow! This week has really gone fast. We have had great weather all week. Monday Grammy and Poppy stopped by for a visit. Carter was excited to see both of them. He had lots of big smiles. Grampy put Carter in the little red wagon, and drove him around the house. Carter was having a ball.

Tuesday we stuck around the house, didn't do a whole lot...played with lots of toys in the toy room. After Daddy got home we started to look for another car seat for Carter...not too many nice ones out there to choose from. We know we want something rather comfy for the little guy...Especially with the trips we take for a couple hours at a time...

Wednesday we headed out to the land with Gramma and Grampy. Carter didn't enjoy the car ride out but he did enjoy his time out there. He saw his Great Nanny and Great Poppy. He had a good time trying to drive their new PT Cruiser! He even got to honk the horn! Then his Great Auntie Sue showed up! He talked and smiled for Auntie Sue! He ate all kinds of fruit with Gramma and Grampy. He even tried to help Grampy with the house by holding the hammer... we took Peanut for lots of little walks...and he sure was tired when he got home. We headed back home after 6...and everyone was really tired. Grammy drove back home with us so Carter would not be crying...and Grampy followed behind in the car. We all went out to supper together...

Thursday, today was a hot day.....Carter and I decided to take advantage of the nice weather. We spent the majority of the day outside. This morning we were out in the sun on the back deck with Peanut. I pulled out Carter's pool and put it on the deck. He splashed with his toys in the pool. Then we sat outside with Jan while the twins were napping. Our power was out all afternoon...so thank goodness it was sunny outside. After lunch we took the babies over to get weighed... Carter is still only a little over 18lbs...Matthew was a little over 16lbs...and Georgia was a little over 14lbs. I can't get over how much the twins have grown in the last two weeks...hard to believe we live nextdoor and haven't ran into each other in that long..lol...busy with babies....It won't be long and Matthew will be caught up to Carter. Now we know that we definitely need a carseat from 5-80lbs...I guess we'll be off to Sears over the weekend.

Well, it has been one busy week. Carter had been spoiled on vacation. He has not wanted to be in his jumper all week. He is too busy crawling around full speed, pulling himself up on everything. He has been letting himself go and standing on his own for quite some time before he tries to sit down. He is thinking of taking steps but not brave enough yet.

We had a few nights where he was up for over his usual half an hour but we managed to survive! He is cutting two more teeth on the bottom...He isn't fussy though...just a lot of drool.

Carter and I went to visit our friend Amy this week. She got a new little puppy named Baxter. He is a golden lab...too cute! Carter was not too sure what to make of it as it was smaller than Peanut for now. He did try to kiss it a few times...

Uncle Chad was over for a visit and we went to the beach...but it was closing in 10mins...atleast he knows where to find it now... Daddy also helped Uncle Chad with his new haircut.

Saturday we got up and checked out a few yardsales...not a lot out there today...a lot of Junk sales...lol... We then came home and got ready to go to the airport to see Auntie Lauren and Uncle Jon off to Toronto. After that we came home and Grammy and Poppy stayed up for a visit. We all went out to MicMac Mall where Grammy bought Carter a really nice pair of sandles. They look so cute on his toes!

Sunday we worked on a few things around the house and then we decided we were going to go check out the new Frenchies...got a few things...then we headed to Lawrencetown beach...we had no idea where it was. The beach was really nice. Carter liked the sand. He was not too sure what it was though.

Carter has been playing with his choo choo train that Gramma bought for him...and so has Peanut. Peanut has been trying to catch the bubbles. Too cute!

Vacation here and gone!

Photos from our week of vacation!!! Nutter enjoyed the big green ball, which was supposed to be Carter's. We all enjoyed the new sun room. Uncle Jon, Daddy and Carter all pointing at nothing in particular! Pregnant Auntie Lauren relaxing. Carter and Daddy catching some sun. Poppy and Carter on the dinosaur at the park!

Some more photos from our week of vacation! Grammy and Carter in the wagon. BUJie taking one of his beautiful self portraits. Carter and Daddy enjoying the slide...and one of Carter's favorites...the pool!

Carter enjoying the pool at Grammy and Poppy's house!

Tuesday, July 11, 2006

Carter spent a week at Grammy and Poppy's house! Ryan and I packed up the car last Sunday, July 2nd and headed to Antigonish. Peanut travelled in plush style on his fuzzy duvet on the front seat and I sat in the back with Carter. We borrowed Chad's Escape so we would have more room....but it was still a tight fit with all the things we brought along with us for the week. Jon and Lauren were home from the big city of Toronto so it was really nice for Carter to see them....no one got the lip which was nice. He took to both of them right away.

On Sunday we heard the news of the newest addition to our family. Jon and Lauren are expecting...December 31st, 2006! We are all very excited for them. It's going to be nice for Carter to have a new playmate. The baby we all know as "Max".

We didn't do a whole lot during the week, which was nice to just visit Grammy and Poppy and Jon and Lauren. Carter went for a few wagon rides in his wagon at Grammy and Poppy's house, and Poppy had Carter out to visit the neighbours.

Carter got a new pool while at Grammy and Poppy's house, which he loves. He had a great time splashing away in the water. It was a great way to cool him down and to also give him a bath. By the end of the week, Peanut even got in the pool..lol

Carter got very spoiled during the week. He didn't spend too much time confined in his jumper or exercauser. He was free to run about the sunroom all week long. He really enjoyed Grammy and Poppy's new sunroom. It was just like being outside without all the bugs...what a bonus! Carter was up late most nights...but that is nothing new.

Carter went to the park with Grammy, Poppy, Mommy, Daddy and the nutter. It was his first time on a swing and he really liked it. He also got to go down the slide with Daddy and on some of the toy dinosaurs with Poppy. Carter got to enjoy lots of icecream with everyone, chocolate fudgesicles being the favorite.

We also took a drive to Cape Breton to visit Carter's Great Nanny. She really enjoyed seeing him and getting hugs and kisses.

It was a great week, lots of relaxing, lots of great cooking by both Grammy and Poppy, lots of love from everyone, lots of laughs and good times. Many more to come!
