BIG WEEK & WEEKEND - NEW COUSIN & A TREE & A HAIR CUT!!!!!!

Wednesday we welcomed a new member to the family! Jon & Lauren gave birth to Maxwell Conner MacDonald!! We now have a cousin "Baby Max"!! Congrats to the Ontario relatives!! Amanda and I are now Aunti & Uncle (Bur - "Bad Uncle Ryan"), and Carter is a cousin! What a way to start the week!!!

On the weekend we put up our first "real" Christmas tree in our house. Last year we used an artifical one, but this year we thought we'd give it a try and see how Carter reacted to it. I went out Saturday night and got the tree, and we waiting until Carter was down for a nap on Sunday to put it up. To our surprise, when Carter woke up from his nap, he didn't really pay much attention to the tree....he was more interested in the vaccum we were using to clean up the pine needles!

On Sunday morning we took Carter out to get his unofficial "first" haircut. I say unofficial because Amanda and her Mom tried before and didn't get very far once. Amanda has also trimmed his hair a few times, but this was the first time we actually got a real haircut. He's now all trimmed and ready for Christmas!

A few new additions to the word list:

• "I don't know"
• Blue Ball for Blue Berry
• All gone and he holds his hands out
• Trying to say Dora and Diego...we know what they are but they're not quite there yet....
• Burp
• Word of the day is Shoe....

Carter has attempted to add another word to his list today...he is trying to say Juice but it is more like uice..no "J" on it....

He also is now trying to imitate the dog lately by going around saying "woof, woof" and he is also trying to say meow....it is not quite there yet but I give it another couple of days...

And....we're patiently waiting to hear the news on our newest family member to be....Jon and Lauren will hopefully have their little baby in their arms within the next 24 hours. Lauren's water broke and she has begun to have contractions....stay posted for more news!!

Where should a 15 month old be for vocabulary....everything I am reading says they should know 3-6 words....well....I think we have a chatterbox!! Lol....It is so neat to hear all the new words coming from Carter.

It's amazing how quickly new words are developing. He is doing well at learning new words and learning that each word is connected to something.... he knows where to find his ears, eyes, nose, mouth, chin, teeth, toes and belly.

We've also been playing a little game with his Baby Einstein Q cards....he is doing pretty good with that...some of his favorites are dog, kitty cat, telephone, computer, tick tock for the clock, flower, tree, etc....

Snow! Snow! Snow! Carter didn't know what to think. He kept running to the window saying "Bubble". He thought that the snow was Bubbles.














I bundled him up in his snowsuit and took him outside...he loved the snow! He also liked the shovel... When I tried to bring him inside, he didn't want to come in.

We got our new Van!!!
